Ledger Live® is an all-in-one application that allows you to manage your crypto portfolio directly from your computer or mobile device. 🚀 Step 1: Download Ledger Live

To get started, visit the official Ledger Live page:

🔌 Step 2: Connect Your Ledger Device

Plug in your Ledger Nano S Plus, Nano X, or Stax device via USB or Bluetooth (Nano X). Follow the on-screen prompts to connect and verify your device:

  1. 🔐 Enter your PIN on the device
  2. 🔒 Confirm access from Ledger Live
  3. 📲 Unlock your device to continue

Ledger Live will check the firmware version and allow you to update if needed. Always keep firmware up to date for maximum protection.

Once your device is connected:

To receive crypto:

  1. Click “Receive” in Ledger Live
  2. Select your account
  3. 📧 Copy or scan the wallet address
  4. ✅ Confirm that the address matches the one shown on your Ledger screen

Never trust the screen alone — hackers can spoof what’s shown in the app. Always verify using your device.

  1. Click “Send”
  2. Paste the recipient address
  3. Enter the amount and review the fees
  4. Confirm the transaction on your Ledger device

🧾 Firmware Updates

Ledger Live will alert you if your device firmware or apps need updates. These updates are signed by Ledger and verified on-device to prevent tampering.

🧱 Secure Element Chip

Your Ledger device contains a certified secure chip (CC EAL5+) that prevents key extraction even under physical attacks.

👻 Passphrase Protection

Enable advanced “hidden wallets” with a passphrase. This adds an extra layer of security but must be remembered — losing it means losing access to the wallet it protects.

📦 Backup and Recovery

Your Ledger device does not store crypto — it stores private keys. If your device is lost, stolen, or reset, you can restore access using your 24-word recovery phrase.

Steps to Recover:

  1. Get a new Ledger device
  2. Select “Restore from recovery phrase” during setup
  3. Enter your 24 words in exact order
  4. 🎯 Your wallet and balances will be fully restored

Warning: Never enter your recovery phrase on a website or computer. Only type it directly into the Ledger device.
